Felipe Gallegos was born in Guadalajara, México. He has developed as a classical tenor in oratorio, concert music and opera. He started his studies at University of Guadalalara, afterwards he won various scholarships of the National Institute of Fine Arts of Mexico to continue his studies abroad. Among his teachers there are Carlos Aransay, Katherine Cieszinsky, Corradina Caporello, Claude Corbeil and Joan Dornemann.He is currently a student of The Hague Royal Conservatory with Catrin Wyn-Davies and Rita Dams. On the opera stage he has sang parts of Rossini opera Viaggio a Reims, La cambiale di Matrimonio, El retablo de Maese Pedro by De Falla,
L ‘enfant et les sortilegies by Ravel, and L’ elisir d’amore by Donizetti amog others. In concert he performed evangelista and arias of Johannes Passion by Bach, as well at the Magnificat and Cantata BWV 111 and Il Vespro della Beata Vergine by Monteverdi with Capella Barroca de México and Requiem by Mozart and Ninth Symphony by Beethoven with OFUNAM, Pasión según San Marcos by Osvaldo Golijov with Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México, also as guest of the Opera de Bellas Artes with Orquesta del Teatro de Bellas Artes in México. Recently he has perfromed as Ferrando in Così fan tutte by Mozart in the Summer Opera Season with the Dutch National Opera Academy. He is member of Coro de Madrigalistas de Bellas Artes where he has worked also as a conductor.
